Executive Thoughts: Sebastian Vos on the Turnitin Partnership

Sebastian Vos, CEO of ExamSoft

Now that the news of our partnership with Turnitin is fully shared, I wanted to take a moment to share a little more about the why of the agreement.

Prior to this acquisition, ExamSoft was owned by a private equity group, which is a type of investor that helps the company grow but isn’t structured for long-term ownership. The time for a change was coming, and we wanted a new strategic partner that would support the long-term investments needed for ExamSoft to continue to grow and serve our clients with the market-leading assessment solutions that they expect and deserve.

As we looked for a new partner, we knew we needed an organization that valued academic integrity and data and had a passion for learning and education. It was important to partner with a company that shared our ideals and goals and mission. And we’ve found that with Turnitin.

Continuing to Serve

For our clients, there is no change in the level of service or in our products. Going forward, we do anticipate more collaboration between the two groups and among the various products and solutions. This partnership will enable us to bring more features, integrations, and services to our clients over time, and we look forward to that, as I’m sure you do as well.

Additionally, our entire ExamSoft team remains as it was prior to the two groups coming together. Our leadership teams, our management teams, and our individual contributors all remain with the organization to continue to serve you.

Turnitin sought out an agreement with ExamSoft because of the great things we’re doing here – and a big part of that is our people. We’re excited to be a part of the Turnitin team while continuing to move forward with the ExamSoft mission of delivering superior assessment solutions to increase learning performance for every student, teacher, and institution.

Thank you,

Sebastian Vos
