DALLAS, Texas – June 19, 2020 – ExamSoft is pleased to announce the creation of the ExamSoft Technology Fund in partnership with the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) to support technology needs for Black nursing students. The NBNA mission is “to serve as the voice for Black nurses and diverse populations ensuring equal access to professional development, promoting educational opportunities and improving health”.  In order to support this mission, ExamSoft’s newly established grant will provide $15,000 in funding for qualified applicants with technology needs. Students pursuing a nursing degree or certification are eligible to apply for assistance, and NBNA will manage awarding and disbursement of the funds.

ExamSoft knows that simply saying “Black Lives Matter” and standing in solidarity with the Black community isn’t enough. Actions matter. Establishing this fund aligns with ExamSoft’s vision of transforming learning for everyone, everywhere.

“We believe in the power of education, an institution that builds people up and helps advance society. We value our country’s healthcare workers – not just now, but always. We also recognize and appreciate the Black community’s deep contributions to society as a whole. The NBNA is an organization that brings all of these areas together in a meaningful way. We’re honored to be working with this group,” said Sebastian Vos, CEO of ExamSoft.

This contribution comes at a time when the country is celebrating Juneteenth, a holiday that is especially meaningful in ExamSoft’s home state of Texas. The company intends to continue looking for additional opportunities to support education, technological advancement and social change.
