Presented by Dr. Frederick Burrack, Director of the Office of Assessment, Kansas State University
Institutions of higher education are increasingly utilizing documentation of student application of learning as the key indicator of whether they are achieving their missions to educate students. This is in contrast to relying on course grades and/or documentation of content dissemination as identified on syllabi. Developing an institutional culture that values student learning assessment as an essential element of what we do as educators in higher education is an essential foundation for success of any institution. This webinar will focus on a few ideas on how to establish a culture that embraces student learning assessment, emphasizes program improvement in response to student learning assessment results, and views the assessment process as an essential component of education.
