Nurse educators are faced with many challenges as we move toward preparing students for the Next Generation NCLEX® (NGN). Clinical judgment has been and will continue to be a major focus for nurse educators and nursing students and is the major focus of the NGN.
Traditional teaching and standardized testing strategies are no longer sufficient to meet the demands of the NGN.
Clinical Judgment Exams (CJE) created by NurseThink® and administered through ExamSoft is an effective way to improve student readiness and success for passing the NGN. This presentation details a nursing faculty member’s experience with development and implementation strategies to encourage and support college-wide use of CJE’s and ExamSoft products.
