Students must be oriented to any technology they will use throughout their learning career to maximize their success in demonstrating their content knowledge. Undue stress or difficulties associated with using assessment technology like Examplify can be mitigated by providing practice opportunities to students prior to delivering assessments that will impact their academic record.
This session offers an example of one strategy used to orient students to Examplify that can be adopted to take advantage of any available features you may use at your institution, such as ExamID and ExamMonitor. We discuss the strengths and limitations of our strategy and invite attendees to offer their own ideas on how to maximize student success when using assessment technology.
