Students are struggling. Programs have always had some students who struggle to master materials, but it seems more are struggling now. This session brainstorms solutions to help these students through the assessment process using a tiered approach to remediation when a student fails an exam including ExamSoft report cards, generation of data through a student survey, meeting with the associate dean of academic affairs, required exam reviews in ExamSoft, and even a course for students to gain tools to enhance their academic success. Group brainstorming augments discussion as we share strategies to help struggling students.
