There is a tremendous amount to be learned about exam-takers. Computer-based testing (CBT) allows instructors to study how their students answer questions, mistakes made, and provides a glimpse into exam-taker behavior. Some important statistics that can be studied are the time spent per question, the total time spent on the exam, and the student’s idle time. Bergen Catholic High School is currently utilizing exam data of this nature to drive curricular decisions, help shape individualized learning, and provide specific performance and remediation information back to students.
