Tim Bristol is an internationally known faculty development, assessment and curriculum design specialist. Over the past two decades he has led 1000’s of faculty and programs in Exam Development. His teams have helped develop Policy related to maintaining valid and reliable assessments at all levels of nursing education. He specializes blueprinting that ensures assessments are conceptual, focus on clinical judgment, and are based on nursing practice. He helps programs with using data from faculty created exams and standardized assessments. Dr. Bristol then shows programs how to continuously use that data to customize learning, document outcomes, and manage student retention and success.
L. Jane Rosati, EdD, MSN, RN, ANEF
Dr. Jane Rosati presents nationally and internationally in the area of NCLEX test items writing, test blueprinting and test policy success. She has worked with well over 100 schools assisting faculty in understanding the importance of test item writing skills for material presentation in the classroom, simulation and clinical settings. Other areas Dr. Rosati has assisted faculty in are developing test blueprinting and designing testing policies that ensure continuity for faculty and student success. She assists faculty with test item analysis for better success in student learning. Dr. Rosati works with faculty by demonstrating how the data from test items can help to make much needed changes in curriculum presentation to students.
Anne Brett, PhD, RN
Anne Brett has been a nurse educator for 35+ years, teaching at all levels on the nursing education continuum. As a consultant Dr. Brett has worked with faculty teams across the country facilitating workshops focusing on curriculum development and meaningful assessment. With the Next Generation NCLEX on the horizon she has been working with nursing faculty to connect the dots between practice and the classroom and develop valid, reliable exams that require clinical judgement skills. Anne has been the key person at NurseTim Inc. to oversee the development of customize exams assessing the client school’s specific curriculum.
Judith W. Herrman, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN
Judy has devoted her career as a nurse, educator, and researcher to the exploration of how we learn and creative ways to enhance teaching and learning. Judy has combined these areas of expertise with the need for effective and valid means to conduct evaluation in nursing education. As an expert in item writing, test analysis, policies to enhance test reliability, and NCLEX(R), Judy consults nationally and internationally with schools of nursing and health sciences. Judy is dedicated to supporting the use of testing and quizzing in nursing education as creative teaching strategies and to enhancing the validity and reliability of testing in nursing education.
Stephanie W. Terry, PhD, RN, CNE
Stephanie Terry has provided services in the healthcare field for more than 25 years in the capacity of nursing assistant, licensed practical nurse, and registered nurse, bringing skills and expertise to clinical nursing and nursing education. For the last 14 years, Stephanie has worked in nursing education teaching in all levels of nursing and serving as an administrator and leader by starting and managing nursing programs, working with faculty on curriculum and faculty development, mentoring, and student success. In preparation for the Next Generation NCLEX, Stephanie serves in the role of Manager for the NurseThink® Exams development project, working with nursing experts across the country to develop valid and reliable test items that measure clinical judgment skills needed in our future nurses.
Karin J. Sherrill, MSN, CNE, CHSE, ANEF, FAADN
Karin J. Sherrill is an experienced nurse educator who teaches at Maricopa Community Colleges and Upper Iowa University in Arizona. Test item writing, item analysis, test blueprinting, and testing policies are some of her greatest passions. For over 5 years she has Chaired the Chair the Testing Committee for the largest community college system in the United States. She also co-authored the Arizona State Board of Nursing’s Advisory Opinion on Testing Guidelines for Pre-Licensure Nursing Programs. In 2017 she collaborated in the development of a national survey to determine the current state of test development in pre-licensure programs. Karin has worked for the National League for Nursing Testing Services and has spoken and published nationally on testing practices and Next Gen testing.
Winsome Stephenson PhD, MSN, RN, CNE
Dr. Stephenson is a Nurse Educator with expertise in exam development / management, NCLEX® student success, use of transformative learning strategies in the classroom, and faculty development. Dr. Stephenson is passionate about nursing education and ensuring the next generation of nurses are fully trained to use clinical judgment for quality outcomes in a continually diverse and transformative healthcare system. Dr. Stephenson has had the opportunity to hold several roles in the academic setting as faculty, faculty chair, dean of academic affairs, faculty development specialist and curriculum and instruction developer. She received her undergraduate degree from Pace University and her graduate degrees from Georgia State University.
